Daddy's Speech
Today at lunch Karis told her Daddy what her children's church lesson was about, then asked, "Daddy, what did you speech about today?" =)

- A responsible almost seven year old.
- Friends who feel like family visiting from NJ. So good to worship with them this morning.
- Small buds on our trees signalling that Spring is upon us.
- The Holy Spirit! What did OT Saints do without Him?
- flip flops....my feet are happy in the summer
- first tomato from my beautiful plants....many more to come.
- winning the war on the Bermuda grass, even if we need to invest in weed killer stocks!
- parents who taught me to know better
- a clean house because company was here
- relative love...the kind that picks up where it left off. even if it left off 3 years ago.
- homemade peach cobbler
- a cool day to play at the park
- a calm husband
- steak on the grill and shrimp cocktail for lunch!
- smiling girls
- when everyone does their part on Sundays so there is low stress for me.
- fuzzy green blanket to curl up under on this chilly Mother's Day
- The war has been waged on the Bermuda Grass. We'll see who wins in another month or so!
- Tulips in my flower bed.
- Re-connecting with a valuable mentor and friend.
- Written music for some hymns I love is now in our possession. I've been waiting 8 years for one of these!
- Joe is home refreshed from his conference and my prayers for clarity have been answered.
- Baptism of an excited new Christian at church.
- Girls ate a good dinner 2 nights in a row with no pleading from me.
- Kids slept at the same time today so I could sneak in a nap after a rough night.
- Lots of SNOW!!! Rare for us.
- Hard-working Husband
- Large Mug of Hot Blueberry Vanilla Tea
- Quick date to the bank with precious Lissa girl...trying not to lose her in the middle.
- First Taste of Ice Cream...baby smiles.
- Sniffing her hair while she reads Little House in the Big Woods to me.
- Weather nice enough to go to the park.
- A phone call from my dad.
- A clean kitchen sink.
- 2 Huge bags sent to goodwill today...out of our closet and dressers.
- More room in the girl's room...stacked up the bunk beds!
- Unlimited text messaging.
- Smiling eyes on little girls.
- A five year old who still naps.
- Orange juice on sale at the grocery store when we're sick.
- A baby-holding husband.
- We woke up to beautiful snow-covered everything this morning. So rare and the girls got to play outside in it.
- The wireless router is working again!
- A rearranged bedroom that gives us lots more floor space.
- Four bottles of Welch's sparkling grape juice to be put away for special occasions. I got them all for 7 cents after coupons at CVS this week!
- Dr. Jim Berg's book Essential Virtues, we started the video class at church last night. What a challenge!
- Zucol...the yummy citrus immunity booster that always helps us get over colds faster.
