Trip to WV

My mom came to NJ and spent a few days here. We played on the beach and took long walks. After a few days, she kidnapped the girls and me and we went to WV with her. We kept so busy, but had a great time visiting with family. My sister Carrie and her husband wanted us to go camping with them since my girls had never been and the rain stopped just long enough for us to have one night in the tent. We played charades, sang campfire songs, fed the giant carp in the lake, went geo cashing, and feasted on Uncle Mike's great cooking. I know it was a lot of work for Mike, but we had a great time.

We enjoyed being with the cousins, especially since we know that before too long, they'll be far away in New Zealand. They get along so well and I really appreciate3 their good influence on my kids.

Another fun thing we did was go to Valley Worlds of Fun. This is one of Karis' favorite places. It has mini golf, bowling, rides, an arcade, laser tag, and some giant moon bouncers...all for one great price. It was a great time and there were smiles all around. We had a yummy pizza lunch. Elissa would have stayed on the teacups all day if we would have let her and Karis loved the mini roller coaster that went forward then backwards.

Joe came and met up with us after his responsibilities were done at church on Sunday and we all went and visited with Nana O'Neal and Molly. She had several projects that needed to be done around the house and also just needed some company I think.

Thanks, family, for a really nice getaway!
